sky hd review Since I first got my Panasonic hd television, the first thing on my brain was how long do I have to wait to receive sky hd installed. I’d already saw hd movies via my apple tv and was really struck, but I could not keep paying for rented films. What I really needed is sky, I desired all the films and I wanted football in high-definition. I had read umpteen sky hd reviews that I had to just stop worrying and just order. How did I set up sky high def Well I went on-line and signed up, it took about 10 mins and was somewhat painless, most of my time was spent mixing up the packs, removing and adding – did I genuinely want sky arts. I opted for the sky high def package, the hd pack and the film bundle. It was quite expensive I would now find myself paying barely under sixty pounds per calendar month but would have everything I wanted in high-def. It took a couple of weeks to get the whole thing put in, I live in apartments and already have a shared dish, so the sky install was just some lad giving me the sky high definition box, and installing it. I could have done this myself, but it was this feller job. It took him about five mins, subsequently which he gave me a quick rundown on the characteristics. I just needed him to leave so I could play with my new toy. Read sky hd review How good is the high def picture The high def picture quality is in a word dazzling. The easiest way I can describe it? well, I wear eyeglasses the pictures on a normal telly is like viewing without my glasses, hazy, lack of detail etc. When you see a hd image is like wearing the glasses so much more detail, strong you start to see things that you would never find on the old picture. I found myself thinking what would the matrix look like in hd, before I knew it I was watching all my favourite films again in high definition. Other benefits of sky high definition Well the other major benefit from my point of view is the sound quality. Sky pumps out dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. So, like me, if you have a 5.1 system, I have a sony, can’t recall the model but it cost a lot, then the sound is impressive. The remote record feature is also a big feature. It essentially allows you to visit the sky website, view the television schedule, and record. So if you are at work you can surf the schedule and record at your lesiure, when you get home everything will be sitting inside your sky hd box ready to view. Free broadband – I was a little dubious about the free broadband. I was with bt, and they had the worst service. I was lucky if I got 1mb download speed, despite many phone calls they never solved it. When you call bt youre calls are sent to india, where despite their best efforts the staff are just reading from a script. I could never understand what they were saying and got really disappointed. So thanks to bt, I decided to opt for the sky broadband and try and save a bit of cash, I was paying bt 20 pounds for the pleasure of their bad service. I got the sky hd box working first, and finally got the free broadband a couple of weeks later, as bt were slow in making things happen their end. I was dreading trying the internet as I thought it would be slower than bt. To my surprise the connection was a full 2mb, I know this is not the fastest but for me I was jumping with joy.
